当铺小老板因车祸失去掌纹，护士笑说他的人生从此不受限，他却因父亲住院，只能蹲在小当铺里，跟女友翻着各种旧物打发无聊。直到一个女子出现，他的生活似乎出现转机。宛如清新版的《疯狂店员》，这是萧雅全一鸣惊人的首作，其中可见到他对往事与旧物的迷恋，以及其它日后反复出现的创作元素。Lin has to look after his father's small pawnshop, while his father is hospitalized. His impish girlfriend Eiko, whom he met on the internet, comes to help him, when she is not working at the hospital. She calls Lin by his online pseudonym "No-lines" because he lost the lifeline on his hand in a motorcycle accident. Instead of checking IDs, Eiko suggests they take customers palm prints, so she can practice her palm-reading. Lin is attracted to a girl who comes to collect her pawned watch, and he arranges to meet her at the station, without Eiko knowing. The pair then try to sell off uncollected pawned articles, between stops on the subway train.
