Plot Summary:East meets West in the Deep South. An overcrowded maximum-security prison-the end of the line in Alabama's correctional system-is dramatically changed by the influence of an ancient meditation program. Behind high security towers and a double row of barbed wire and electrical fence dwells a host of convicts who will never see the light of day. But for some of these men, a spark is ignited when it becomes the first maximum-security prison in North America to hold an extended Vipassana retreat, an emotionally and physically demanding course of silent meditation lasting ten days. The Dhamma Brothers tells a dramatic tale of human potential and transformation as it closely follows and documents the stories of the prison inmates at Donaldson Correction Facility who enter into this arduous and intensive program.
看出点方舱医院的感觉。话说现在的方舱医院里有人组织修修禅是不是好些。
后半段聊内观对他们的影响的时候有个人说，他在监狱里的报纸上看到自己的女儿被谋杀了，但是他并不恨凶手，和爱所有人一样爱他，是不是有点过了。。。
冥想改变人生。
拍得比较一般，但是道理还是通的。之前写social research的作业，想做一个meditation和监狱改造的研究，可惜资料太少了没进行下去。要是早点看到这部纪录片应该写得出来。
