Plot Summary:Captain Brand's troop is ordered to Arizona just one week after his marriage to Ada Jackson. Among others who go, is Lieut. Moore, a former suitor for Ada's hand. After being gone a year, Capt. Brand makes final arrangements to have his family with him in Arizona. So taking her little baby, Lillian, and her maid, she starts to join her husband. She is met by him, and they start to the fort in a stage coach, the only mode of conveyance, with part of the troop as an escort. They do not proceed far, however, for they are seen, chased, and overtaken by a small band of renegade Indians, and several troopers are killed before the stage continues. Lieut. Moore, who is on scouting duty, hears the shots, and rushes to the rescue. He finds the bodies of the troopers, and under the direction of Ada's maid, whom he found lost in the woods, continues his chase. In the meantime, the Indians have again overtaken the coach, killed Capt. Brand, and one is about to dash Ada's baby over the cliff, when Moore arrives, and shoots him, thus saving the baby's life, and winning for him the gratitude of Ada, and four years later (helped by little Lillian), her love.
